Privacy Policy

Terminal One is a native desktop app published by Token Dev Co ("we", "us"). This policy explains what little data we handle and why. The short version: your code and your work stay on your machine.

What runs locally

The terminal, file editor and Git features run entirely on your computer. We do not receive, store or transmit your source code, files, commit history, terminal output or keystrokes. AI agents you run inside a pane are the same command-line tools you already use; they communicate directly with their own providers under their own terms, not through us.

Information we do collect

• Account data (Pro only). If you subscribe to Pro, we process the email address you sign up with and an account identifier so we can grant access to paid features. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.
• Payment data (Pro only). Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles them. We receive only your subscription status and basic billing metadata.
• Website analytics. This marketing website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic (page views, approximate region, device type). It does not identify you personally. The app itself does not embed this.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of processors: Google Firebase (authentication and entitlements), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics (website metrics) and GitHub (hosting app downloads). Each handles data under its own privacy policy. These providers may process your data on servers outside your country (including the United States); by using Pro you consent to that transfer, which we limit to what's needed to run the service.

How we use it

We use the information above only to operate the service: to verify your Pro entitlement, process subscriptions, provide support, and improve the website. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Data retention

We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must keep records to comply with legal or accounting obligations.

Your choices

You can use the free app without an account, in which case we hold no personal data about you. For Pro accounts, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. You can disable website analytics with any standard ad/tracking blocker.

Children

Terminal One is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
